Resources and Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ
What is your fee?
My fee is $100 for each 50 minute session. Sessions are scheduled once a week or more depending on your needs. I offer a sliding scale fee for those that have financial need (i.e. unemployed or full time college student). Please don't hesitate to call even if you think you cannot afford my fees. I might have a low fee slot open, or I can give you referrals to agencies which accept low fee clients.
Do you take insurance?
I am not on any insurance panels, but many health insurance plans will reimburse for psychotherapy from "out-of-network" therapists. I request payment at each session, but I am happy to prepare monthly statements for you to submit to your insurance company for personal reimbursement.
How long will I need therapy?
That is a hard question to answer without knowing you and your circumstances. Some people find what they are looking for in a couple of months while others find that they benefit from longer care. This question is better answered in person after I have had a chance to get to know you and the reasons you are seeking help at this time.

Marriage and Family Therapists are psychotherapists licensed by the State of California. Requirements for licensure include a doctorate or a two-year master's degree, the passage of a comprehensive written examination, and the completion of 3000 hours of supervised experience. "
